St. Vincent Disaster Relief Fund - Biabou

You may have seen this volcanic eruption in the news from a tiny island in the Caribbean? 

That island. St. Vincent, where my father is from.  It is also where many family members and friends still live.  To you, this may be just another natural disaster far away that you can turn the channel from, but for over 100,000 people on this island and families connected to them, this is a disaster that will change our lives forever.  

Most of the island has lost power.  There are unable to access freshwater, and they are dealing with the uncertainty of not knowing if this is the worst of it or is this just the beginning. 

We’ve all experienced this type of uncertainty in the last year.  

Disaster relief is slowly trickling in, but it is mostly targeted for Kingstown.  I have family in Biabou, an hour out of town, where supplies are scarce.  Shelters in need of mattresses, N95 masks, toiletries, and other basic necessities. 

This is an island of beauty, filled with generous souls just trying to live a good life.

So we are asking for your help.
