St Ann Parish Center Building Fund

I’m Fr. Paul T. Josten – Pastor of the Roman Catholic Parish of St. Ann in Miller, South Dakota, in the Diocese of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.    I came to this parish just this past July, and I have been swept up in the wave of excitement over the building of a new, much needed, Parish Center.  I’m told by the locals that this parish has been wanting to replace the existing, inadequate, facility for years, hoping for a place with a roof that does not leak, a floor that does not seep, a bathroom all can use, and a dining hall that can accommodate all of our guests.  The project includes expanding the front foyer of the church so that mourners at funerals will no longer have to wait out in the cold to greet the family. 

            Our project has a projected cost of 1.5 million dollars.  With the blessing of our Bishop, we have raised 1.1 million dollars.  In this GoFundMe Drive, we hope to raise $200,000.00, which will be an enormous help.  We are required to have most of the money we need in hand before a single shovel of dirt is turned. 

            Our new Parish Center will benefit not only our Parish of St. Ann’s and surrounding parishes, but we hope also to open its doors to the greater Miller Community for dinners, meetings, education, and prayer.
