Our Story:
Since 1984, Sacramento State Men's Rowing (SSMR) has competed against universities from all over the country. Members of this team throughout our history have always prided themselves on hard work, dedication, and a strong commitment to a common goal.
Today we are recognized as one of the premiere Sports Clubs on campus. Our commitment each day at dawn represents our families, our alumni, our university, and our community at the highest level. However, in order to keep the almost $900 in annual semester dues from becoming an even larger barrier to participation, the majority of the revenue we need to operate the program and compete at a high level must come from successful fundraising efforts.
We need your help.
This year, Sacramento State Men's Rowing is proud to begin raising funds for a new 8+, our first new rowing shell in over 10 years. Obtaining our goal this year depends on your outstanding support in ticket purchases and generous bidding on our auction baskets.
Please help all you can and spread the word for us.
Our Event:
To make our new 8+ a reality, we are hosting our 2nd annual silent auction on Saturday, February 25th from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM at the University Union at Sacramento State. We have an exciting and fun agenda planned with a no host bar, appetizers, gear sales, team video and leadership presentations, door prizes, and some incredible auction baskets to take home when you are the most generous bidder!
To purchase tickets, please use this site to donate $50 per ticket, leaving your name in the description of the donation. Your ticket(s) will then be available for pick up at the door!
SSMR also has a friends group, Friends of Sacramento State Men’s Rowing, who maintain a 501© 3 for larger gifts should you want to discuss a more significant gift!
