Meet Cash! Standing at 17.1hh, this noble gelding had a magnificent start on the track in California, before retiring to ranch work (pictured first is Cash at 2-4 years old). In 2011 he was sold privately, and his known records disappeared until 2019, when he was found all the way in Kaufman, Texas in an overcrowded kill pen. Surprisingly, he came out of it all with a negative Coggins and clean bill of health, as well as moving out sound.
Now 12 years young (pictured below) he still has plenty of life and speed left-his only problem is, he needs some groceries! Weighing in at 1145 pounds, we are aiming to put about 200+ pounds back onto his large frame and save his muscles from atrophy. To do this we are asking for progressively small donations over the holiday season to ease the cost of feed and supply Cash with some extra necessary supplements to speed up the process. This boy is SO full of love, he comes right back to you for head rubs and snuggles, loves pets all over, and hates to see you leave without him! Together, we can show him that humans can love too, and help pull him out of his current emaciated state.
Some easy donation amounts are as follows:
$11.99- buys 1 50lb bag of 12% fat horse feed! ($56 feeds him for one whole month!)
$25- buys 1 large string bale of alfalfa ( VERY urgent need for this one!)
$35.99- buys 1 bag of Max E Glo Rice Bran Supplement
$65- buys 1 WHOLE round bale of hay to feed him OVER a month of constant forage
This donation will be live into the new year or until we reach our humble goal, if you donate feel free to leave your information so we can send you a custom postcard stating our thanks!
Help Cash and I #endhorseslaughter, and show the world that every pony deserves a second chance!
