Philippines Mission Trip 2018

Hi everyone!
I am grateful and blessed to say that I will be going to the Philippines at the end of December to build houses for families. I am going with Lewis University Ministry, along with many others to share this incredible experience with. We will be there from December 29th to January 10th. We will be given the wonderful opportunity to join a community and work together to build homes.
Especially being a nursing student, service and caring for others is the basis for my passion. From the beginning, I was always apart of service, either Rotary Club in high school or service trips. I have a strong passion for caring for others and being there for them, even in their most vulnerable states. What makes me happy is making others happy; I do not serve others to help myself, I do it to care for others. Service and caring for others is very prominent in my life and was instilled in myself as I was growing up. My parents told us that not everyone has food on their plate, a roof over their heads, or dry clothes on their bodies; since we are lucky to have those things, it is our responsibility to help others to have them too.
Any money, prayers, or positive thoughts would be incredible in helping me make my way to the Philippines. I am raising money to help me on my journey to do Gods work. I cannot wait to embark on this journey with my close friends, and make new relationships that I will cherish forever. Please share with your friends and family, and help be apart of my journey!
