Hispanecdotes (www.hispanecdotes.com) is an online literary magazine whose mission is to give a platform for Latinx writers.
Spaces like ours are precious for our staff, contributors, and dear readers. We offer an outlet to share the experiences we live everyday, holding together a rich and diverse anthology of our cultural identity. We do so without requiring anyone to demonstrate their humanity to reveal that we are more than what the media portrays.
We think our writers are pretty great and if you’re reading this there’s a chance you think so too. We’re asking for your help to do something amazing: to pay our staff writers and our contributors. It’s no secret that Latinx writers are underrepresented in media and in publishing. We’re asking for your support to give our authors what they deserve. Every penny raised from this Go Fund Me will support Hispanecdotes. The majority will go to paying people, with a modest amount keeping the website and domain available for our readers.
Please consider donating to our cause: to keep our stories and voices alive within the literary public space for all to enjoy. Our stories are our identity and their power has the ability to inspire younger generations and serves as an outlet for them to see themselves represented.
