SSJBC Roof - Work about to start!

Sutton St James Baptist Church  has been serving the village for over 200 years - as has our roof which now needs replacing!

We have been fund raising for over 2 years in a variety of different ways including some successful grant applications & various community events (before COVID-19 affected things!)  This has brought us within striking distance of our target with work commencing on 22nd October.

We are still offering people the chance to sponsor a tile or two and for sponsors to write an inscription on their tile(s), maybe to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, maybe in memory of a loved one - or maybe even to mark the strangeness of this year - one that has been like no other!

These tiles will then be placed in our roof and become living history - we will also display list of donors within the Church to acknowledge peoples generosity.

Please do help us to achieve our goal - and do pop in and see us if you are passing.   We are working towards reopening the church for a short time every day from early November - all within current Government guidelines - so that our local community know there is always someone to talk to.

Thank you to all who have already supported us either on or off-line.
