SSgt Hamilton's Hair for Hope

SSgt Hamilton of the 45th IS is battling leukemia and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.  SSgt Hamilton would like to shave her hair before it starts coming out in clumps.  She wants to make this a positive event and share it with all of you!  We would like a large group of personnel, group wide, to volunteer or become nominated (with their consent) to get their heads shaved at the same time as SSgt Hamilton does hers.  Each person nominated would need to have $100 raised (per person) in order to get their heads shaved or a grand total of $2,000.00 for all involved to get all member's heads shaved.  The member who raises the most money for an individual will get to shave that person's head!!  There will be a buyout option, but it will be double the amount raised for the individual!

Where will the funds be going to you may ask?!?  All proceeds of this fundraiser will be donated to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) per SSgt Hamilton's request.

The event will take place on the 18th of December

Additionally if we raise an additional $500.00 (Total of $2500) Col Gifford will shave his head after the New Year!

On the 18th bone marrow registry kits will be available to put you on the registry since SSgt Hamilton does not know if she'll need a transplant yet or not!
She would like to do a good thing on two fronts: raise money for DAV and then also get people on the bone marrow registry since she may still need a donor.
