Fernando's Medical Fund

As many of you know my dad was assulted early Friday morning. He was found unresponsive and care-flighted to MCH with extensive facial/head injuries. As many of you also know, my dad is a very  proud man, and asking for help is not in his vocabulary. So, here I am doing it for him.. I've spoken to the doctors, made the appointments, listened to their quotes on what all of this will cost, read his medical reports, seen this man who is kind and good unable to stand alone, or shower on his own. He can't even eat. There is just no way he can get the things done that he needs without help. 

He has recently started a new job, and with that means he doesn't yet have medical coverage. Therefore, all of his medical treatment has to be paid out of pocket. He was deemed "stable" and discarged Sunday from MCH. His kids and close family thought it best we bring my dad back with me to east Texas, to continue his care where we can be sure he gets the help he needs. He has a long road ahead, with mulitiple surgeries due to the amount of damage sustained to the right side of his face. Chico has a broken jaw, and multiple fractures and breaks in most of the bones on the right side of his face. He also has severly bruised right lung, his left ear was surgically stitched back together, he has a pinched artery that could require yet another surgery, and not one defensive wound on his hands. 

Anything donated will go to his medical bills, I will be sure of that. 

And last of all... thank you. To anyone that has called, messaged, or text, thank you for caring and checking on Chico. If you give, thats great, but if you can't we uderstand. Please just keep him in your prayers.
