I’ve decided to change my story here on gofundme because it’s drastically changed in the past few months, when I originally started it it was to help with rent and bills but that’s not the case now. I ended up getting really sick in September, spent a month in icu because I became paralysed then I spent even more time in hospital because my kidneys aren’t functioning properly and still aren’t so I haven’t been able to work at all, this was caused by my anti seizure medication, what happened to me wasn’t a side effect and because of that they’ve done a study on my and it will now be added to the list of side effects. Because of this I’ve had to move home as work doesn’t give sick pay and you only get €150 a week for illness benefit. Even though I have a medical card, there’s a list of medications I’m on that aren’t covered, and there’s no generic or alternative that I’d be able to take. I still don’t have a date for when I can return to work, I’m still dealing with constant appointments and tests and medication changes, it’s all very stressful, I still don’t know when my kidneys will function properly again. With my illnesses that I’m dealing with, I’d be able to be seen much quicker if I could go private, so if you’d like to donate towards getting me help sooner, then please do.
