Sex Positive Summer Tour!

Donation protected
Finding sex positivity is one of the best things that's ever happened to me. Growing up, I internalized a lot of shame about sexuality. For years, I've struggled with trying to overcome this shame and enjoy my sexuality. I've come a long way from since then, and am still learning and growing!

I've learned that:
1. I have just as much of a right to enjoy pleasure as anyone else. Sex isn't something I'm giving away to a partner for their sole benefit. It should be mutually desired and mutually enjoyable.
2. My creative and goofy ways of expressing my sexuality are valid (I don't have to "perform" my sexuality like women in movies do -- for a man's enjoyment).
3. There's nothing wrong with me being attracted to people of different genders.
4. It's okay for sex to be imperfect. It's not the end of the world if someone doesn't orgasm.

These messages have helped me so much in my life, and I want to spread them to others who might have similar struggles with sexual shame and insecurity.

I believe that if people feel more comfortable and fulfilled in their own sexual expressions and interactions, they will be less likely to perpetrate sexual assault. I strive to be a part of a cultural shift that validates healthy sexual expression and encourages open communication about sex and consent.

THE CONFERENCES

I am thrilled to have been accepted to lead workshops at two amazing sexuality conferences this summer!

Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit
I will be leading a Sex Positive Zine Making Workshop, which I'm really excited about because zine-making may be my lifelong calling (I've been making "zeens" since early childhood, long before I even knew that they were a thing).

Amorous Revolt
I'm partnering with the wonderful Chris Connolly (creator of the Sextacular Show) to bring two workshops to this queer retreat and skillshare:
-Communication for Better Relationships, and
-Putting the Sex(y) Back in Sexually Transmitted Infections.

You can find descriptions of the workshops here .

THE FUNDS

The only issue is that it costs money to attend the conferences, and it costs more money to get to them. I've decided that I don't want a lack of funds to get in the way of me fulfulling my passion for sex positive education and activism, so I went ahead and RVSPed "yes" to both conferences. But I need some help to get those funds together so I can actually pay for them!

I can minimize the costs by driving (hopefully carpooling!) instead of flying, camping instead of staying in a cabin, and couch surfing instead of booking a hotel room. But I still need to pay for the conference admission fees, as well as the gas to get there.

If you're able to, please consider donating to help spread important sex positive, anti-assault messages and facilitate conversations that can be a part of creating a shift in the way we, as a culture, talk about sex.

Your support is really appreciated!
