Springpod Together 4 Southport

On Wednesday 11th September 2024, a considerable faction of the Springpod workforce will be taking part in a sponsored walk from Liverpool to Southport in honour of Bebe King - our colleague Alex Carr’s six-year-old niece, who was tragically killed in the attack at The Hart Space in Southport on Monday 29th July. Along with seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe and nine-year-old Alice da Silva Aguiar, Bebe was one of three children who very sadly lost their life in this senseless and devastating incident.

The proceeds of this walk will go directly to Bebe’s fundraiser - a gesture that we hope will contribute towards an immensely difficult period for her family as they come to terms with their grief. Springpod will match donation up to £5000, and will be transferring funds directly to Bebe's family. Whilst money can’t ever make even the smallest dent in the unimaginable horror they have had to endure, it may just help to buy them some time and space to reflect and rebuild their lives.

The wider community in and around Southport has come together as a result of this tragedy in a truly united way - this is just our small way of doing something positive, and remembering Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe and Alice da Silva Aguiar as the beautiful shining lights that they were.
