Springdale Dr. Seth Garner Fighting Covid in ICU
Doctor Seth Garner of Advanced Health Care, NWA in Springdale, Arkansas has been life flighted to St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, while he is critically ill fighting for his life in ICU with Covid 19. He has been placed on a ventilator, and has been in the hospital for nearly a month. He is awaiting possible treatment with an ECMO machine, as it works by temporarily drawing blood from the body to allow artificial oxygenation of the red blood cells and removal of carbon dioxide with a machine. Now, the treatment is being used to support critically ill patients with Covid-19 pneumonia for whom ventilation is insufficient to sustain blood oxygen levels.
Dr. Seth Garner is a dear family friend, amazing doctor, loving husband, and wonderful father to 3 beautiful children. Dr. Garner has been practicing as a APRN and a chiropractor in NWA for over 20 years. He loves his patients, and takes quality time with each one and really listens to them and their problems. He continued to take care of his patients during this Covid Pandemic, until he developed Covid pneumonia on February 9th and was admitted to the hospital on February 11, 2021 when his body needed help fighting this horrid virus. He is currently at St. Vincent, while his family only gets to see him through face time. Doctors expect him to be there for an extended period of time, and it will be months before he could possibly return home and gain his strength back to even return to work.
His clinic of Advanced Health Care in NWA is the family's only source of income, and not knowing when he will be able to return to his practice, creates a large financial strain on the family. Therefore, we are trying to raise funds to help with his medical expenses, loss of income, travel and meal expenses and allow the family some relief to know they have funds to live on until Seth is able to return to his practice.
