Spring Into Summer on voicEd Radio

The last several months have changed the way we talk about many dimensions of our lives as citizens of Canada and actors on a global stage. And whether we're talking about the impacts of COVID-19, the focus on issues of systemic racism, or the need for more intense conversations about climate change and sustainability, all roads lead to the need for focused conversations about education, teaching and learning.
A little over 3 years ago, voicEd Radio opened up a space for deeper and broader conversations related to education and we continue to hold that space for diverse perspectives, vibrant conversation and critical discourse about what we hold to be an important organ of democracy.
We also understand that our systems of public education are embedded within a larger ecosystem of conversation that includes politics, policy, the economy, arts and culture, business and industry and technology.
This is an important time in our development as a space that is committed to nurturing these conversations in a non-commercial, public service media.
Our primary source of support is your donations to our work. We have no paid staff but we do have operating costs that amount to approximately $12K per year. These include:
• free hosting for podcasters
• a live radio stream
• a telephone platform for increased public engagement
• a live radio app
• social media promotion tools
• an interactive website for content delivery

In this Spring into Summer campaign, we are hoping to engage with new donors or those of you who may not have contributed in a while.
This summer, are hoping to raise enough funds to cover our operating costs to the end of 2020 so that we can spend the rest of the summer developing the content that will take us into the brave new world that is bound to greet us in the Fall!
