Kimmy Spriggs Ministry Internship

I have tried to make it a goal to live my life this way. I was always convinced that I could do whatever I was called to do, no matter how uncomfortable or extreme. Well, it is time to put my money (and hopefully some of yours) where my mouth is.

I have been blessed with the amazing opportunity to participate in a ministry internship at Bayside Church in Northern California through the Thrive School. I have felt called for several years to pour into the lives of teenagers, and Thrive will not only allow me to do so for two years as a ministry intern, but will prepare me for a lifetime of ministry.

I will be participating in the pastoral leadership program at Thrive. To be able to fund this ministry internship, I will need to raise the $6,000 tuition per year, plus expenses. The tuition covers my training, internship, and room and board with a host family, but all other costs are additional expenses. This missions internship is fulltime, which will prohibit me from working while I am up north. This sort of commitment to a calling takes sacrifice, hard work, and faith in a God who provides.

All Christians are called to participate in missions; we just have different roles to play. Some of us go, some of us support financially, and some of us support emotionally and spiritually, through prayer. In the past, many of you have donated to support my short term mission trips to places like Mexico, Uganda, and Missouri, but now rather than give to a trip that will last a week or two, you can help pour into two years of service that will prepare me for a life of ministry.  I truly see attending Thrive as the first two years of a life-long mission trip. Who knows where it will take me or what lives (including my own) can be changed because of this?
