Walk 100 miles for Collie rescue vet bills & food

We are doing a 100 mile sponsored walk across Wales with our collie Floss who we rehomed from the Diane Hart Collie Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre. We want to raise as much as possible for Diane and these dogs, so more dogs like Floss have a chance at a life, and fining their forever homes. Diane runs the centre on her own in West Wales which specialises in the rehabilitation of collies with behavioural issues from across the UK and even some from Europe. For some of these dogs Diane is their last chance at life and finally finding a home, as euthanasia is the only other option for them.  So please sponsor us :D

She works alongside owner and dog where possible, but most are given over to Diane and require a lot of dedication and time before being rehomed to an experienced owner.   

Since the coronavirus pandemic puppy boom and subsequent easing of lock down, dogs are being rehomed at an unprecedented rate and are placing a huge strain on rescue centres. The Border Collie Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre is no exception to this. Dogs as young as 7 months are arriving at the centre due to lack of socialisation and subsequent aggressive tendencies, often due to no fault of their own.  

 Once at the centre, Diane takes full responsibility for these dogs including all individual training, feeding, housing and vet bills. Dogs often arrive unneutered and require veterinary attention at a huge cost to the rescue. She is dedicated to doing the best for each individual dog and this is why we wanted to raise money for such a necessary cause.
