We are currently aiming to not only raise awareness but to also raise funds to support charities in the United kingdom which are offering to support victims and sufferers of drug addiction and also domestic violence against both men and women.
There are currently an estimated 268,390 men and women who are currently working with charities and other organisations to overcome drug and alcohol addiction, which indicates the actual number of men , women and children suffering with drug addiction to be far greater.
It is currently recorded that an approximate 4000 people die from drug misuse across the uk each year, 4000 people that could have been saved if they had been provided the correct care and support before they had reached what they had percieved to be the point of no return.
It is also recorded that 2million people aged 16 to 59 have been a victim of domestic violence in the uk over the past year 1.3million being women and 665,000 being men. 2 women are killed every week at the hands of current or former relationships and a further 5000 male sucides are recorded each year in the uk in relation to the same.
Our aim is to fundraise as much as we possibly can by 11/07/2020 to support MIND UK a charity that offers support for both male and female victims of domestic abuse AND also ADDACTION UK the nations leading drug rehabilitation organisation conquering drug addiction for both males and females since 1967.
Our intention is to livestream our climb up mount kilimanjaro in july 2020 to raise sponsorship and awareness for the above charity and organisation and ALL donations will go towards the initial participation fee £1850 per person and ALL remaining donations will be divided and credited to MIND UK and ADDACTION UK equally.
We aim to reach our target of £10000 , if we manage overcome this ALL funds will still go to the above causes, although any and all sponsorship is welcome, our preferred sponsor is just £1 per person in the hope that we can recieve the support from 10000.
Our reasons for choosing to raise funds for the above causes comes from our own historic experiences with both drug abuse and domestic relationships, and also for thoes that were not fortunate enough to overcome thier own struggles with the same and the further 2,268,390 currently recieving support with drug rehabilitation and domestic relationships in the united kingdom each year.
