Hey Global Family,
We all know that today's America has no safety net for when illness disrupts the usual course of our lives. If you believe that we, our family, and our friends deserve better, and you can spare a little bit to help with another's medical care, then this is the perfect opportunity to participate in a direct action. No one can do everything but everyone can do something!
Split Feathers has a brain tumor that has encompassed her right carotid artery and is causing swelling of the brain where memory and spatial relationship info is usually handled. She's being referred to a specialist for removal as soon as possible, but she can't get treatment until her family has funds to travel to and from the specialist. They also need help with bills while Split's intensive medical treatment prevents either partner from be able to work a normal schedule.
The specialist is 4 hours away from their home, and over a mountain pass. Their car has a cracked radiator and is extreamly unreliable, so some funds will be used to fix it so they can make the trips.
They're applying for Social Security, but that takes time to process they and are in urgent need of immediate relief. The sooner Split gets care the better her odds are!
