Hi All! This amazing man I am fortunate enough to call my best friend, needs surgery on his lumbar region. He's needed it for years, actually, and has somehow managed to keep working his ass off in the field of construction despite the chronic pain.
He can no longer do that. He needs surgery, as soon as possible, and in order for that to happen, he must stop working for some time leading up to surgery and for around a month following surgery.
This man has done everything in his power to enable me to be a mostly stay at home parent for the past 3 years, and for that I am eternally grateful. But now, I'm seeking work, and am concerned I won't be able to find a job that actually covers our overhead.
That's where you come in! Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated and reciprocated in any way we can manage. It's never fun or easy to ask for help. It is humbling and uncomfortable. But, we need it. Eric is an incredibly skilled craftsman and engineer, always ready to help his friends, family, and community. He takes pride in that, and it has been extremely hard for him to be in a place where he can't do those things without crippling pain (literally: he can not walk without canes at this point, and may need to use a walker for some time). His passion for building things is rivaled only by his joy in seeing those things put to good use. Watching him convolesce to this point has been heartbreaking, and stress inducing.
So, this campaign is a call for any and all assistance we can garner. If we can meet our goal of $2000.00, that would allow him time to get the medical care he so badly needs, and cover only our most basic overhead for two months. Please, help if you can, and share share share this!!!
