Spike, A Rescue Dog in Need of Surgery

**UPDATE** October 25, 2019
So, the CT results came back and it showed that Spike has a hairline fracture and bone loss at his wrist.
He needs to wear a splint for 8-12 weeks and we have to bring him back in 3 weeks for more imaging.
If he shows continual bone loss, then he may have bone cancer or a bone infection.
If there is no further bone loss, then that means that the fracture was the cause and we just proceed with the splint.
This would be the best case scenario and the one I'm praying for....
So, now we wait.
**UPDATE** October 18,2019
Update on Spike
He was negative for Valley Fever, so the next step will be the CT Scan on Tuesday.
Thanks again for your well wishes and support.
October 13, 2019
Hello, meet Spike. Spike woke up Friday morning, 10/11, and could not stand or walk. Spike belongs to my sister, Carla and brother-in-law, Matt. They adopted Spike 5 years ago. They have rescued 2 dogs and Carla and Matt have helped many animals and people over the years to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars. Literally, they have helped others, putting themselves in almost dire circumstances many times.
Spike will require a CT scan, quoted at $2500 by Arizona Veterinary and Critical Care Center in Gilbert, AZ and surgery to repair a tendon estimated at several thousands of dollars.
Carla and Matt have never asked for help, nor will they now. However, I am asking for help to get Spike the medical attention he requires. They have come across some unfortunate challlenging times. My sister and brother-in-law's dogs are their only children and they love them as such. Anything you are able to do to help is immensely appreciated.
Sincerely,
Cassie Madison
