Spencer Squire lived each and everyday of his short life to the fullest. He taught us all how to love family, friends, sports, and his love to learn.  As a Boon Elementary kindergartener he learned to be a great reader and writer and incredible math student.  Spencer passed away suddenly in 2007 at age 6 from a non-symptomatic malignant brain tumor that hemorrhaged.  As Spencer knew nothing but love and happiness, we continue to share his precious legacy of love and happiness.  Since 2007, we have spread Spencer’s sunshine in many ways with the support of family and friends and neighbors…

—Spencer was an organ donor, so Spencer Squire Charities sponsored 5 families over the years to be in the Tournament of Roses Donate Life Float

For the last few years, we have dedicated all of our funds for the  Allen Foundation of Schools Spencer Squire Charities Scholarship which will be awarded to a graduate of Allen High School beginning in 2019, the graduation year of Spencer’s classmates

In April 2018, we celebrated our 11th annual Spencer Squire Charities Golf Tournament, and the Summers Family has always been an special supporter and part of this celebration.    Andy not only played golf in the tournaments but most memorably, shared  in lively sports conversations with us, including some fun Aggie, Longhorn, and LSU humor.   It was special, too, that Andy mentioned to us one evening that he and Spencer shared the same birthday, December 9th.

We feel honored and touched at the kind gesture on behalf of Andy’s family to be part of his memorial.  His genuine thoughtfulness as a person coupled with his love for children's educational and sports opportunities in our community will be missed. Andy’s big smile, great laugh, and his love for his family and friends will always be  forever in our hearts.
