The Spencer Woodland Memorial Fund

Donation protected
This page is for my friend Franklin and his family.

They just lost their 18 year-old son, Spencer (top left in the picture), on New Year’s Day.

There are no words that do justice to the pain and suffering.

Let me explain a bit more about why I am asking you to help one of the nicest, most humble, and incredible people I have ever met.

Franklin quit his job a number of years ago because he felt called to start a water business in Southeast Asia to help poor people get affordable, clean drinking water. His goal was to build a sustainable water purification plant to sterilize enough drinking water for 30,000 people each day.

He has succeeded, but has had to fundraise, fight, and scrape by in order to support his family and to get the water business to where it is today. It is nothing short of incredible.

But now a crippling blow has come to him and his family.

In times like these, day to day tasks can seem daunting.

Let alone trying to fundraise money to support a family and an operation to bring clean water to needy people.

Will you help in this time of need?

Our goal is to raise $30,000 through GoFundMe to help Franklin and his family through the coming months with their living expenses.

It seemed appropriate to pick a figure that mirrors the amount of people he is trying to serve water to each day.

Will you consider giving $30? $300? $3000? Every. Single. Dollar. Helps.

Would you also consider a matching gift to help people get clean water?

I am pleading with you to care for a man you may know well enough to love, or for a man you have never met. I am pouring out my heart to ask you to help my friend and his family.

1 Corinthians 13:13 says “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

Will you donate and keep proving that love wins, even in the face of a terrible tragedy?
