Speech & Debate Nationals 2022

Recently the Helena and Capital High School Speech & Debate teams competed against hundreds of other high schoolers across the state to earn the right to represent Montana at the National Speech and Debate Tournament. Five of our local students qualified for Nationals.

 

However, the school district cannot help finance transportation, accommodations, entry fees and other various costs to allow us to attend the week-long National tournament in Louisville, Kentucky this June. The trip will cost approximately $10,000 for the competitors and their coaches to attend. Without financial support, we would be forced to sacrifice our Nationals’ bid.

 

We are working hard to raise the money, but we need help from you. Coming back to in-person competition is brutal, and travel is expensive. Any donation will help us raise money to offset the financial cost and would be greatly appreciated. Since the Helena School District is a non-profit organization, your donation is tax-deductible.

 

With this contribution, you would be supporting an incredible learning experience for Speech and Debate students. With the help and generosity of people and organizations like yours, the Helena and Capital Speech and Debate teams can send these very deserving students to the National Speech & Debate Tournament.
