Arianna's Spinal Fusion and Recovery has been tumultuous but she has her goregeous smile back! According to her Doctor she has about a year to 2 years to be fully healed and everything fully stabilized. She has bouts of pain that I can't seem to distinguish it's source, Hip, Back, shoulders but hoping this will subside.  I have been encouraged by many to not close her fundrasier I have decided to make this her Birthday fundraiser and it is going to be closed after her Birthday on July 24! (no donations on her Birthday, Leaving it open) If we can share with 10,000 people that will help us tremendously. I have been making glitter pens $3 donation, selling yardsale items,my handcrafted jewlery,  plants, succulents $7 and handmade cards, saving every bit.

Arianna has Cerebral Palsy Tetraplegia, Lennox-Gastut Syndrome (seizure disorder), Abseance seizures, Scoliosis and a Dislocated Hip. Along with these diagnosis, she also has mandated appointments to ensure her services stay intact.  Please help us prepare for growth and new opportunities for mobility and inclusion during and after Arianna's surgeries.  For her extended Story www.asisabg.wix.com/specialvan4ariannacp
Many who know her are touched by her unassuming spunkyness, her smile is inherintly contaigious and warms your heart when she is so inclined to share one with you, you must stop introduce yourself shake her hand and only then will you be smiled upon. Everyone who knows her knows how lovable she is and we all Love her with all our hearts.
She has the cutest dimples which haven't been particularly prevalent due to the amount of pain and pain killers she must take. Her condition has taken it's toll over the course of 4 years lacking the motor skills to move independently or with assistance the excruciating pain from her underdeveloped acetabulum/hip joint that is now dislocated and her 69% curvature of her spine only exaserbated by growth has now left her with the only option for comfort (hopefully), Surgery.  2 procedures to be exact. Arianna's Hip procedure specifically, pelvic support osteomity, will be first, to omit any problems with pain, healing and the like, in preparation for the Spinal Fusion which will follow 6-7 months after the hip surgery. It was explained that it would be easier to address the hip pain before the spinal fusion because trying to heal from the spine surgery while having the hip pain could potentially hinder the healing process of the spinal fusion.
Our family is seeking help to acquire a wheelchair-accessible van so we can provide the care and dignity that Arianna deserves.  Allowing Arianna to Heal without extended travel times (currently take paratransit),  gain access to her community, visit family, get to medical/dental appointments (sometimes more than 1 a day), be available for same-day appointments (ear infections) etc. all the while traveling with the least pain possible.
Whatever you can help with is greatly appreciated and will make a tremendous difference in Arianna's life!

Every Penny contributed goes toward her Goal. Offline contributions will be documented here and you can leave a  message along with thier contribution as well.
Our initial 90 day Campaign Started on 9/8/2014 has been changed to ongoing untill her need is met. All we need is a whole lotta’ Sharing and Caring! All progress updates will continue for 6 months after the spinal fusion surgery or the Van are acquired whichever comes first to let the wonderful people, who supported Arianna, know how their contribution has made a positive impact on her life. ALL proceedes will go towards her van and necessary modifications.

Upon researching if and how we could get a van for her, the local regional center informed me that they will modify a vehicle, but it cannot be older than 3 years.   She has outgrown our 2005 Suburban and I can no longer lift her wheelchair as before due to Arthritis in my lower back.  We are attempting to get a Sprinter/Transit fully equipped with an area to address her changing and hygene, since she can no longer use public changing facilities.

I also need to provide space for her to lie down so she can change positions and have breaks during extended travel.  Frequent position changes are imperative and are a result of her condition, this goes into more detail on her site.  A modified minivan will not meet her needs for care and our needs for easy transfers and movement. Once we were picked up by Paratransit in a Minivan, between her and her chair there wasn't much space for my 2 boys to sit.

Getting out the word and spreading awareness of Arianna's campaign is just as important as generous monetary donations.  If you can't contribute Please consider sharing on your social media and help meet the Goal of Arianna's Healing and care with dignity and inclusion with the least amount of pain as possible through an accessible wheelchair van.
