Ms. Cap's Class Tablet Fund
Donation protected
My students attend an elementary school in a district with high-poverty. The socioeconomic hardships create challenges on my students that make it difficult to keep education as their number one priority. Despite this, my students come to school each day with smiling faces and love in their hearts. My classroom is a Self-Contained Special Eduaction room with students in the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. This means the majority of my students are reading on grade levels that are significantly lower than their actual grade. For example, a fifth grade student (age 11) may be reading on a level as low as Kindergarten. This classroom also contains some students who come with extreme behavior problems. This makes it challenging for others to learn during outbursts. Despite their special needs, they are very active students who love to learn, but it is extremly difficult to provide appropriate help and materials for each individual student. The use of tablets would provide us with the proper resources to meet the needs of each and every student daily. Tablets are capable of providing reading apps, reading/ sightword games, the ability to create quizzes and class polls online, and will give the students the ability to type their assignments. Please consider donating to provide my students with the proper resources to help them become more successful with the challenges they face! Every dollar, big or small, will be GREATLY appreciated!
