Special Education Teacher: Grad School Edition

Hello!  My name is Lizzette Lewis and I am a Special Education Teacher Grades 7-12 for the New York City Department of Education. I am currently enrolled in Touro College to complete my master's degree in Special Education.  I have been working as a teacher for about 3.5 years now.  I have been working with kids since 2004 and I love every moment enriching the lives of children!

I do not qualify for a student loan and already have outstanding student loans that I hope to take care of after receiving this degree. Before the pandemic, I wasn't about to complete my degree due to getting a divorce and moving on my own.  I am a mother/teacher during this pandemic with also helping my son who is on the Autism spectrum. Normally I would be working my full time job plus some others but because of the pandemic, I am unable to have extra income at this time.  With the completion of this degree, I can get my COVID certification and continue doing what I love which is teaching children with learning disabilities.  

I am asking for anything that help me with tuition during this time.  Since we are mostly home I have to make sure I keep the lights, internet and food coming in.  I truly appreciate anything and all donations will go to my tuition and books.  I am trying to earn the funds by February 1st 2021.
