Saving Kallie

Little Kallie needs heart surgery to give her any chance of living a long, healthy life. She has a congenital heart defect called PDA (patent ductus arteriosus) which is basically a hole in her heart that should have closed at birth but did not. If left untreated, it will develop into heart failure and this sweet 3 1/2 month old pup may not live to see her first birthday. The success rate for surgery, which would be conducted at NC State, is very good assuming it is done prior to heart failure developing. If successful, surgery would allow her to live a long life. 

There is no guarantee that surgery will be successful, or even that we will make it in time. But I am determined to give her a happy life until then, and the very best chance of success possible. 

Please help us out on this journey. Kallie is precious and has already won my heart. Please help me fix hers.
