I got accepted to study Masters in Space Engineering at TU-Berlin in April 2020 intake.

I have always had a passion for engineering. In high school, I was an active participant in the Kenya National Mathematics Contests that were held in Mangu High School. I was also the Head of the Science Congress Team, participating in various projects within the district and province. I graduated with a B+ in KCSE, giving me a better platform to pursue my dreams of being an Aerospace Engineer.

In university, I graduated with high honors of 3.54/4.00 from my bachelor's; first in my class during the 2018/19 Fall semester at Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus in Aerospace Engineering. I have received high honors and honors certificates in every semester during my undergraduate studies. I was also appointed the Aerospace Student Representative for two years, trying to facilitate the improvement of academic, social and cultural opportunities within the school. Due to my exemplary performance, I became a teaching assistant during my undergraduate studies in three technical courses: Computer-Aided Engineering Drawing, Numerical Methods, and System Dynamics.

My good credits though came at a price. I left a huge dent in my parents' bank accounts and Saccos. At their retirement age, they are trying to settle the loans they took to pay my tuition fee. I came back home in Kenya with so much enthusiasm to share my knowledge with my fellow brothers and sisters only to have all doors shut. Nobody was willing to give me a job closely related to what I studied in school. I was even told that I didn't have a 'Kenyan Identity' in one of my job applications. Another company, (undisclosed name), hired me to wash their helicopters, prepare tea for their staff and wash the dishes afterward.

I opted to try and look for universities, to see if the rejection spread to that level. To my surprise,  all schools that I applied for my masters accepted my applications, however, due to financial constraints of either paying the fees due to partial scholarships offered, I was unable to accept their offers. The county government never responded to any of my financial needs to continue with my studies.

However, this hasn't killed my initial engineering passion. My acceptance in TU-Berlin seems to be a door opened by God, and I'd like help in joining the university to pursue my career. I received an acceptance letter on 12/12/2019 and I'm to pay a registration fee of € 500  by 16th January 2020 before I lose my spot. Help me in this first step to my future in Aerospace Engineering.
