Sparkle and Shine: help Isla achieve her Cali dream

**Fundraising Proposal for Isla’s Dream to Join the 2025 WA State Team at the Aus Cali Carnivale**

Dear friends, family, and kind supporters,

My name is Isla, and I am a passionate young calisthenics athlete. For the past three years, I have dedicated myself to this incredible sport, and I am excited to share with you an opportunity that could change my life — the chance to join the WA State Team in 2025 for the very first Aus Cali Carnivale - a chance to show the rest of the world our cool sport. But to make this dream a reality, I need your help. It will cost a lot of money and I am only 10!! I’d also love to audition for the Australian Calisthenics Theatre Company, but this is the first step toward that.

**What is Calisthenics?**

Calisthenics is an amazing uniquely Australian sport that combines dance, acro, gymnastics, simplified ballet, singing, and apparatus, all into one exciting and dynamic performance with lots of sparkles, and fun! It is only in Australia!! It’s like a team sport, but it also challenges you individually. Every training session pushes me to improve my fitness, flexibility, coordination, and confidence. Calisthenics teaches me more than just physical skills – it teaches teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and how to grow as a person. Through this sport, I’ve learned how to face challenges, overcome fear, and support others in a team. I’ve made some beautiful relationships with coaches and mentors and friends.

**My Journey in Calisthenics**

2025 will be my fourth year in calisthenics, and every year I’ve grown stronger, braver, and more determined. While calisthenics is primarily a team sport, I’ve also competed in solo and duo competitions, where I have been proud to place in the top 5 in my age group! I am very proud. These experiences have helped me build my confidence and have shown me just how far hard work and dedication can take me. Cali has brought me lifelong friendships, taught me essential skills for life, and helped shape who I am today.

Joining the WA State Team at the Aus Cali Carnivale is the next big step in my journey, but to be part of the team, I need to raise $5000 to cover training, travel, uniforms, and competition costs. This is where I need your help.

**Why I Need Your Support**

Being selected for the WA State Team is an incredible honor. The Aus Cali Carnivale will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me to represent my state, challenge myself in ways I’ve never done before, and perform at the highest level. It’s not just about the competition – it’s about pushing myself to be the best version of me, learning from others, and continuing to grow both as an athlete and as a person. This is my dream, and with your support, I know I can achieve it.

The funds will go directly towards:

- Training costs and coaching sessions

- Travel and accommodation expenses for the competition

- Uniforms and equipment needed for the event
