This is Hillary with Avian Behavior International. From the beginning of our organization, our goals have thrived along the intersection of progressive, ethical animal training methods with wildlife conservation. We have shared that with thousands, if not millions, of people in the last ten years.
This year we have been asked by the Mabula Ground Hornbill Project in South Africa to work with them on some challenges with their juvenile release candidates to enhance their longterm success for survival. Dr. Lucy Kemp, project manager of Mabula, is one of the best known ground hornbill researchers in the world. She has developed a comprehensive program involving extensive research, community support, and relentless dedication.
It is this dedication to keep improving the ground hornbill status that is the impetus for bringing our Avian Behavior team on board. With a tight deadline before nesting season and conservation funds always being in short supply and high demand, Avian Behavior International is self-funding the project.
Through community support, we are looking to cover basic costs of our travel and supplies. You can make a difference in wildlife conservation with even the smallest of donations! Thank you for your support.
