Sound System & CD #2 Production

Caravan El Noor grew out of the  South Bay Chant Circle, where friends would gather in a local home in the Bay Area and share global chants  and build community.  The chant circle offered a space for a transformational and healing experience using sound and movement meditation practices.  The band started with three members, Andrew Foehner, Robert Hansen and Jihan "Gigi" Amer. They produced thier in-home CD with original melodies that incorporated a merging of eastern and western musical influences and sacred devotional mantras, chants and songs.

Later, three more band members were added this year: Vanessa Hafiza Ragan, Patrick Lei, and Anne Cleveland.  The band is in process of creating their 2nd CD as well as going on their first tour outside of California (4 Gigs in Tucson, AZ).

We are seeking help in raising money for our own sound system as we travel for performances and for help producing our 2nd CD.

Caravan El Noor (Caravan of Light) creates and performs devotional chants, songs, and dances from various spiritual traditions. Inspired by the Universal Sufi tradition, in which all paths to the Divine are honored, Caravan El Noor invites audience participation and plays music that polishes the heart and enlightens the mind through sacred, mantric phrases and sound. 

Our mission is to unify people of various cultural and belief traditions under the One-ness of our humanity and to provide a container of transformation that facilitates the healing of heart, mind and spirit in order to awaken us to the fullness of our human potential.
