Music is Meant to be Shared: Alexa, Caitlin Eadie & Taylor Dukes
We are three Nashville based pop/soul artists. Over the past few years, we have spent time growing individually as musicians, developing our individual sounds, and playing shows across the US. We all have a common goal: to share our music with the world. We have posted our music on sites such as youtube, soundcloud, spotify and itunes... but are our songs truly getting heard on a global scale?
We want to make a bigger impact with our music. We want to shorten the distance between the artist and the listener, travel with nothing but our talents, play for intimate audiences, and ultimately share our music with Europe. So, with added experience, confidence, and new material, we are planning our first European Tour.
The first step… name the tour- SoulFlare.
Soul: We are 3 diverse indie/pop/r&b artists, but one thing we all have in common is a whole lot of soul.
Flare: When a flare is sent into the sky it is meant to signify someone’s existence there. We hope to accomplish this, even on a small scale, during our musical journey in Europe.
This is a “GoFundMe” Campaign towards a cause. Our cause is simple; but the finances are not. This campaign would be giving 3 independent artists the opportunity to play live shows throughout Europe. Shows are where we thrive. Shows are where we leave the listener with a little piece of ourselves and allow them alone to hear what not even the newest iphone speaker can recreate. It is a beautiful exchange of art that we cherish, and wish to share with a new audience.
We have been planning and researching tirelessly to come up with a basic itinerary for a month long May 2015 Tour, and have even already locked in a few dates!! Unfortunately, with the expenses of basic travel, accommodations, and food-- it is just not possible to fund the trip on our independent artist wages alone. This is where we put our pride aside, and ask for your help.
We have set a goal on this gofundme for $6000 dollars, which will cover the absolute bare minimum of costs for the trip. (Flights, Sleep Accommodations, Train Costs & Food) We are working extremely hard to raise money on our own by juggling jobs and picking up shifts. However, we wanted to give our family, friends, and fans the opportunity to show their support as well. Any help that you can possibly give towards this trip will be so greatly appreciated and is absolutely essential to the tour’s success. We will be posting updates on the tour here, including pictures, video entries, and details about show bookings. We hope that you can share this experience with us and are as excited as we are! Thank you so much for your time and generosity, we love you!
