Cos’è
Il Tempio Buddhista Tenryuzanji    di Cinte Tesino (TN) è stato fondato dal Monaco Italiano Ven. Seiun con il proposito di dare vita a un luogo di meditazione, studio, silenzio, raccoglimento e ascolto, dove poter fare esperienza diretta di attività volte alla crescita interiore.

Numerose sono le occasioni di dialogo e di scambio con la comunità del Tesino, attiva e partecipe durante i momenti di meditazione, le passeggiate in malga, i pranzi vegani, le conferenze. Inoltre il tempio offre l'opportunità a centinaia di pellegrini, turisti, o semplici curiosi di entrare in contatto con la cultura buddista, con la meditazione, le arti marziali e con uno stile di vita rispettoso degli animali e della natura, perfettamente integrato nell'ecosistema tesino.

Ogni anno vengono organizzate celebrazioni delle maggiori ricorrenze buddiste, oltre a momenti di approfondimento della cultura orientale.

Come si presenta il Tempio oggi
Il Tempio mantiene lo stile tipico di un maso trentino, che indica una costruzione rurale tradizionalmente utilizzata per attività agricole. Infatti, oltre a due immobili, la realtà templare comprende anche un terreno di circa 20.000 mq. e offre ai visitatori uno spazio per la meditazione, lo studio e la preghiera secondo la tradizione buddhista.

Il primo dei due immobili comprende la sala di meditazione, e una piccola abitazione per permettere l’accoglienza degli ospiti (bagno, cucina) e la permanenza del monaco.

Il secondo immobile, al momento non utilizzato, sarà in futuro trasformato in un piccolo monastero per poter accogliere più visitatori e una comunità monastica più ampia.

Sul terreno intorno al tempio è prevista la costruzione di un Dojo in stile tradizionale per la pratica delle arti marziali e dei bungalow per poter meglio accogliere ospiti e monaci.

L’obiettivo è rendere il tempio Tenryuzanji il fulcro di una comunità monastica residente dedita alla preghiera, alla meditazione e alla pratica delle arti marziali e all’accoglienza.

Raccolta fondi
I progetti per il futuro del Tempio Tenryuzanji  sono molti e ambiziosi, e richiederanno tempo e impegno.
Per questo abbiamo bisogno anche del tuo aiuto: abbiamo attivato questa raccolta fondi per avere le risorse necessarie a migliorare la vivibilità del tempio e adattare il nostro piccolo maso in modo che possa accogliere nel giusto modo gli ospiti e i visitatori!

Ecco alcuni dei lavori che intendiamo fare:

> Stiamo lavorando con un artigiano per creare il mobilio utile e su misura per la sala di meditazione: librerie, scaffali, attaccapanni, etc. 

> Vogliamo rendere  l’ambiente “bello” e in grado di favorire l’introspezione, lo studio e il silenzio: altari, cuscini, ornamenti, strumenti per la pratica. 

> Vogliamo rendere più accogliente l’ambiente per i visitatori che si fermano per un caffè, i volontari che si adoperano nella cucina durante le festività e per il quotidiano vivere del monaco residente: cucina, suppellettili, stanze. 

Chi siamo
L’associazione Samatha-Vipassana è l’organizzazione no-profit che gestisce i fondi e la burocrazia del tempio Tenryuzanji. Siamo un gruppo di persone, buddhiste e non, che condivide i valori di compassione, crescita e tolleranza, protezione e rispetto nei confronti ogni essere senziente e dell’’ambiente.

Who we are:
The Tenryuzanji Buddhist Temple of Cinte Tesino (TN) was founded by the Italian monk Ven. Seiun with the purpose of creating a place of meditation, study, silence, recollection and listening, where you can directly experience activities aimed at spiritual growth.

There are numerous opportunities for dialogue and exchange with the community of Tesino, active and participating during moments of meditation, walks in “malgas”, vegan lunches and conferences. Moreover, the temple offers the opportunity to hundreds of pilgrims, tourists, and simply curious people to get in touch with the Buddhist culture, meditation, martial arts and a lifestyle characterized by the respect of animals and nature, perfectly integrated in the Tesino ecosystem.

Every year, we organize the celebrations of major Buddhist holidays, as well as moments of deepening about Eastern culture.

How the Temple looks like today:
The Temple maintains the typical style of a “maso Trentino”,  meaning a rural building traditionally used for agricultural activities. In fact, in addition to two buildings, the temple also includes a piece of land of about 20,000 square meters and offers to his visitors a space for meditation, study and prayer according to Buddhist tradition.

The first of the two properties includes the meditation room, a small house to allow the reception of guests (bathroom, kitchen) and the abbot’s room.

The second property, currently unused, will be transformed into a small monastery to accommodate more visitors and a larger Sangha, or monastic community.
In the surroundings of the temple, we planned to build a Dojo for the practice of ancient martial arts and bungalows to better accommodate guests and monks.

The goal is to make Tenryuzanji Temple the hub of a resident monastic community dedicated to prayer, meditation, the practice of traditional martial arts and hospitality.

Fundraising:
The plans for the future of Tenryuzanji Temple are many and ambitious, and will require time and commitment. That's why we need your help: we activated this fundraiser in order to have the necessary resources to improve the livelihood of the temple and adapt our small farmhouse so that it can welcome guests and visitors in a proper way!

Here are some of the renovations we plan to realize:

> We are working with a craftsman to create useful, custom-made furniture for the meditation room: bookcases, shelves, coat racks, etc. 

> We want to create an harmonious environment, conducive to introspection, study and silence: altars, cushions, ornaments and tools for practice. 

> We want to make the environment more welcoming for pilgrims who stop also for just a tea, volunteers who work in the kitchen during holidays and for the daily life of the resident monk: kitchen, furnishings and rooms. 

About us
The Samatha-Vipassana Association is the non-profit organization that manages the funds and bureaucracy of the Tenryuzanji Temple. We are a group of people, buddhist and non-buddhist, who shares the values of compassion, growth and tolerance, protecting and caring about every sentient being and the environment.
