SOS Algarve COVID-19

Existe uma enorme falta de equipamento de protecção individual hospitalar em Portugal.

O objectivo deste GoFundMe é conseguir diminuir algumas dessas faltas na região do Algarve. É expectável que o número de infetados aumente exponencialmente muito brevemente. Assim, o material pretendido e crucial para travarmos esta Pandemia, é  o seguinte:

- Fatos HAZMAT
- Oculos e Viseiras
- Mascaras tipo FFP3 e FFP2
- Luvas
- Batas descartáves em polopropileno
- Alcool
- Desinfectante de mãos

É evidente o cansaço dos profissionais de saúde. Mas não afeta apenas Médicos e Enfermeiros. Por isso que estendemos o nosso respeito e agradecimento também aos outros profissinais que dão o  seu melhor pela nossa saúde, desde Técnicos Superiores de Diagnóstico e Terapêutica, Psicólogos, Assistentes Sociais, Assistentes Técnicos e Assistentes Operacionais. TODOS eles desempenham as mais diversas funções e agilizam o funcionamento da rede de cuidados de saúde no SNS.

Estima-se que a Pandemia continuará durante vários meses.

Não é possivel ficar de braços cruzados sem nada fazer, à espera que tudo passe para retomarmos depois a dita vida “normal”, porque a definição de normal terá concerteza outro sentido. Não é possível presenciar o desgaste desses profissionais, que trabalham muitas vezes em condições longe do óptimo e não tentar suprir as necessidades básicas de protecção pessoal, com a maior brevidade possivel e com todas a ferramentas ao alcançe.

É URGENTE AJUDAR! ELES precisam de ajuda, amanhã podemos ser nós a precisar deles. Nós podemos ficar em casa, ELES NÃO!

There is a huge lack of personal protective equipment in Portugal.

The purpose of this GoFundMe is to reduce some of those absences in the Algarve region. The number of infected people is expected to increase exponentially very soon. Thus, the intended and crucial material to stop this Pandemic is the following:

- HAZMAT Suits
- Glasses and Visors
- FFP3 and FFP2 masks
- Gloves
- Disposable polypropylene gowns
- Alcohol
- Hand disinfectant

The tiredness of health professionals is evident. But it doesn't just affect Doctors and Nurses. That is why we extend our respect and thanks also to other professionals who do their best for our health, from Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technicians, Psychologists, Social Workers, Technical Assistants and Operational Assistants. All of them perform the most diverse tasks and expedite the health care network in the NHS.

The Pandemic is expected to continue for several months.

It is not possible to sit idly by doing nothing, waiting for everything to pass to resume the so-called “normal” life afterwards, because the definition of normal will certainly have another meaning. It is not possible to witness the wear and tear of these professionals, who often work in conditions that are not optimal and do nothing to meet the needs by providing basic personal protection, as soon as possible and with all the tools at hand.

IT IS URGENT TO HELP! THEY need help, tomorrow we may be the ones who need them. We can stay at home, THEY CANNOT!
