Sorensen Family Brain Tumor Fund

My name is Gerald LaChere and I have been asked by quite a few people how they can help my sister, Linda Sorensen, who has been a pillar to the community of Helena for so many years. On October 6, 2023 Linda lost all feeling on the left side of her body and a majority of the ability to use her left limbs. She was sent to a specialist in Salt Lake on October 9, 2023 and it was determined that she has a brain tumor in her right frontal lobe. Linda will be undergoing brain surgery on October 16, 2023 and will be in Salt Lake for a minimum of a week during recovery, but during that time we will also be learning what type of brain tumor she has.

Linda is a loving and caring wife to her husband John, a mother to her beautiful full of life daughter Evelyn, and has always been the strong one in the family who live around her in this beautiful city and state we all call home. To this day I still get approached by students and parents throughout our community who tell me amazing stories of Linda as a teacher and a friend and her impact in the community is beyond what can be written down here.

After talking with Linda and John about what people can do for them the greatest request is for prayer and good thoughts. If you are able to go beyond that and donate to this fund to help Linda, John and Evelyn with their travel, hotel, and to take any financial burden off of them for any needs that might arise during this process that is much appreciated as well. Both the Sorensen Family and their extended family want to know that we appreciate all the love and kindness everyone has shown and in John's words, "We can't do this alone."
