Sophia's Fire Fund

My name is Steven Starr and I'm from Los Angeles.  I found out this morning that my amazing friend and collaborator Sophia just lost her home to the wildfires in Ventura last night; the bus she was turning into a home is gone.  It's a miracle she didn't sleep there last night; after seven days working with the carpenter, she came back to LA late yesterday for a few days of work in LA.  This was her dream project, and I'll let her tell the story...

"I drove away from my bus in Santa Paula at 5:18pm last night, after the 7th day of work building it into my beautiful home. It was almost done. I’ve put everything I had into that bus. Not just money. Every ounce of positive intention and faith and grace I had left. I had an upcoming appointment to register it at the DMV, and was waiting to hear back for insurance quotes.   Santa Paula is burning and the bus is gone."

If you are moved to support her efforts to start from scratch again, so she can rebuild her dream house, now is the time.  Every dollar raised will go to Sophia to help her get back her dream; I love this woman, she's a great human being, and she deserves our support.  Please help if you can.
