Sophia Princess Warrior takes on Leukemia!
In April 2020 Sophia turned 4 years old and just a few weeks later in May, her baby sister Elliana was born! Only 3 weeks later the world came crashing down for this new family of four..
On June 12th 2020, Princess Sophia was diagnosed with Precursor B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, also known as "A.L.L."
Tia had taken Sophia to her 4 year "well check" appointment that had been postponed from April due to Covid-19. After many tests and an admission to children’s mecry, this new family of four was given this devastating news.
On Monday June 15th, Sophia had her port placed and her first of many rounds of chemotherapy. This was the very beginning of a 2.5 year journey.
This gofund me page was made to help take some of the financial stresses off of this family. They will be driving back and forth downtown numerous times, many meals missed at home, possible admissions due to a lower immune system, and all of the medicine/chemotherapy. Not to mention they have a newborn as well!
