SONYA WOULD NEVER ASK FOR HELP, SO WE DECIDED TO DO IT FOR HER!!!!
We all know and LOVE Sonya, or as she would say "Sonya with a Y"! A kind hearted, funny and caring person that has always been ready to lend a helping hand. Anyone who meets Sonya is instantly touched by her warm embrace and ability to tell her amazing stories. If you grew up in Tucson or raised your children here, she has probably babysat, attended your games, and even taught you in school. She has never hesitated to be a support for anyone and everyone, so it is time we pay it forward.
Sonya has been dealing with medical issues for the past year and has been struggling in silence with complications. We all knew something was happening but being the strong woman she is, never asked for help and tried to manage it all on her own. She is the type of person to care for others first before herself.
Unfortunately, a week ago Sonya was admitted to ICU because of extreme abdomen pain and fatigue. After many tests she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon and Liver cancer. Doctors decided to keep her in ICU to continue to care for her and monitor on going complications. Doctors have recently found the cancer has spread to her entire abdomen and is now on a respirator since her condition has worsen. Sonya will be on Dialysis and Chemo therapy and will require medical support. Doctors have said they will do everything in their power to prolong her life with us!
As you all know, personal and medical bills are pilling up. Doctors have also suggested she will not be able to return to work and will need continuous medical home care. We ask all of you to please help out in this time of need and come together to help a person who has always helped others around her.
NOTHING IS TOO SMALL, ANYTHING WILL HELP!
