Beschermde donatie
Hello everyone,
I’m writing on behalf of my best friend in the world, Sonia Vargas, whom I’ve known for 18 years. On June 27, 2024, she will be undergoing a major knee replacement surgery and recovery challenge that will greatly impact her ability to work full-time, or at all, for approximately three months.
What she thought would only be a left knee arthroscopic surgery, has turned out to be an urgent need for total knee replacement surgery (TKR). Sonia has lived with a significant knee condition since she first injured it as a teen playing sports. In other words, there’s a long history of dealing with knee pain and walking instability.
Sonia has been an independent, self-employed, full-time children’s piano teacher for about 25 years. She has also been a licensed (ordained in 2021) Centers for Spiritual Living (CSL) Minister with a lovely small ministry in Ravenna for about 13 years.
Her monthly full-time teaching income is required for sustaining her rental home, two music teaching rental studios, and keeping her cost of living expenses afloat while recovering from this major surgery.
Sonia is a hard-working, loving, giving, and compassionate friend to so many. She is the type of person who gives of her time, heart, music and gifts so freely to others.
It can sometimes feel a bit awkward to ask for this kind of help. So I’m here as her good friend and member of her post-op care team asking for your support.
Together, it would be so AMAZING if we could achieve a financial goal of raising $10,000 to help cover three months of her living, business, and medical expenses, while lowering her stress levels exponentially!
Your donation would also give her the gift of PEACE OF MIND so she can focus more of her energy on healing, learning to walk and sit again with a new knee, and attending post-op PT appointments for three months.
Thank you so much for reading this! It comes STRAIGHT from my HEART to yours - and to Sonia’s. It’s through the kindness and generosity of family, friends, and possibly even strangers, that we make a huge difference for others in their time of need.
All donations will go directly into Sonia’s BECU business account, Sonia Begonia Studios.
With gratitude, love and blessings,
Lee Mattingly
