Jonathan with terminal cancer.

I have been raising funds for my Son Jonathan. Jon has terminal cancer. It started out as a small mole that grew in his groin and became a Melanoma.

He was in the process of moving out of his family home after a break up with the mother of his son.

He spent the first weeks of this trying to find a home for him and his daughter. Consequently the melanoma grew from a stage 2 to a stage 4 before he could get it treated.

The cancer grew and became lymphoma stage 4 very quickly. It is an aggressive type of cancer that cost him his left testicle alongside most of the lymph nodes around that area.

He was part of a trialed new chemotherapy just before Christmas. We found out it had not worked about 10am on Christmas Day.

last week they found shadows on his kidneys. One has a fairly large tumour on it. He will now have to go through dialysis and a immunotherapy infusion together to try to slow this down. They are going to use radiotherapy to burn the thing off. Jon is far too poorly for surgery. Taking it out would not help much anyway as the other seems to be in poor condition too.

Today he lost his best friend. His lovely little French bull dog cross pug. He is heartbroken. She had to go because of the risk of infection to Jon.

He was too I’ll to take her out and is now bedridden on oral morphine. He knew ot was for the best but that didn’t make it hurt any the less.

Jon has to put £ 10 a day into his electric meter just to have his heating on. He has been staying with us too. The cost of doing washing replacing stained sheets etc is high. The bills just get higher.
