Solaris Theatre Company Production of Orphans
Donation protected
Hello! We are The Solaris Theatre Company, an acting troupe currently based out of North Carolina.
The company, founded by Dan Roszelle, Caleb Spainhour, and Justice Largin, prioritizes creativity and inclusivity in the art of storytelling. Our mission is to become a safe space for all artists to experience a full range of creative freedom. We feel that in order for the theater to progress, everyone’s stories must be told. The more stories we tell, the more voices we hear, the more experiences we share, the more open we allow our minds and hearts to be, and the more we can spread the myriad life lessons only theatre can offer.
We are ecstatic to announce that our very first production will be...Orphans by Lyle Kessler! This production will be in conjunction/produced by Aether Theatre Collective. The show will be a one night only event, and will be streamed on January 15th, 7pm EST.
Orphans is the story of two orphaned brothers struggling to survive poverty and what happens when they kidnap a Chicago man with a storied past. All three men, being orphans, whether they know it or not, share feelings of isolation and a complicated relationship with the concept of belonging in the world. Given our current climate of divisiveness, the characters' need for love, support, acceptance and encouragement we feel will resonate with our audience.
Any size donation will be greatly appreciated and will go towards covering the cost of the production, which includes: props, licensing rights, and streaming services. As an act of appreciation and gratitude we will be including the names of all who donated, at the beginning of our streamed production.
We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all of the support and generosity. We hope that you’ll enjoy this production as well as all of the productions to come under the banner of Solaris!
Thank you so much for your consideration.
