Sok's Harvey Relief Fund

My name is Sokratis Ivanovich and my family and I have lost most of our property as a result of Hurricane Harvey. We were forced to evacuate our home as a result of the rains from Hurrican Harvey and the controlled release of flood waters of both the Addicks and Barker reservoirs. Our home and vehicles were not able to withstand the storm damage and the release of flood waters from the rservoirs has caused upwards of an additional 6 feet of water to flood our home and vehicles.

We have suffered catastrophic loss.

While I'm hopeful that my auto insurance will cover most of the auto replacement home repairs will have to be out of pocket. At our home's elevation flood insurance had never even crossed our minds, nor did the bank even recommend it when we got our mortgage. The repairs will run many thousands of dollars.

I feel shameful asking for help but with a heavy heart I have no choice. My wife and my children need a home.
