Sofie Frichot Open Water Swimmer
Donation protected
I am attempting to qualify for Tokyo Olympics 2020 in Open Water Marathon Swimming, representing Seychelles. It takes a lot to be able to compete at such an elite level, all at which comes with expenses. I competed at 2019 FINA World Championships in Korea, in 10km Open Water Swimming, being the first female Seychellois to do so and successfully finish the race with a respectable time.
I work as a Paramedic in Perth, Western Australia and have reduced my hours so I can fully focus on this goal. I train 6 days of the week, 10 session a week, including swimming, gym work and also land work. As you may imagine this consumes a lot of time and money. I swim for the enjoyment that the sport gives me, with the hope of influencing and encouraging other people to do the same.
I have created this Go Fund Me page to help with the ongoing expenses of my journey. Any amount donated is kindly appreciated.
