Soda Creek Sweet Corn Fire Fund

In the early hours of Sunday, July 19, a fire broke out in Soda Creek Sweet Corn's sorting/storage/refrigeration building on Dunlevy Ranch. Despite the heroic efforts of the Kaufmans and the McLeese Lake volunteer fire department, the building and all of its contents was fully consumed. Inside the building was some very valuable equipment used for corn harvest, as well as two classic cars. Unfortunately, the building and its contents were not insured and the total value of loss is staggering. The timing if this loss is terrible, as it coincides with the beginning of corn season. Ron and Gloria and Steven and Linda would never ask for a hand out, so I am asking for help on their behalf.  Just to be clear, they have not asked me to do this and I do not benefit from this. They are truly some of the best and most giving people I know and have given so much to their family and the community. If you have any extra to give at this time, please consider helping them out.
