SOCO Pups NEED A RIDE HOME !

Critical Message from the President of Southern Comforts Animal Rescue--Lee Selman.  

Southern  Comforts has been rescuing pups from Texas Shelters and Streets for  almost 20 years. We have sent many of these  pups up to the North to amazing homes by using various airlines-mostly United.  Due to recent changes , United is not flying live animals . Other airlines are not set up to, or will not ship during the hot weather coming up--SOOOO  , in order for us to continue our lifesaving mission--we must have a safe and efficient way to get our adopted pups to the North. We have explored all options and decided purchasing a van that we can outfit for ground transport is the best option--We have researched and searched--deciding on a Ford Transit van-  Luckily , two days after calling the local Ford Dealer to talk about a new van--a great used Transit came in as a trade!!  It has the diesel engine, tall roof, long cargo area--and Rear air--which is just what we need for our transport.  The dealer is now checking the van out, certifying and getting it ready to sell---This is a dream come true--as this van will be about half of what a new van would be--This is a HUGE undertaking-- but we must make this Big Step if Southern Comforts is to continue with Northern Adoptions---We love our Texas adopters--but there are so many dogs in Texas--we can help more if we are able to also send them North---NOW --this is where are all of past adopters, Facebook followers, Supporters, and Animal Lovers come in----We are planning our First Transport the first week of June--  our  hope is to have this van , have it ready and filled with adopted pups heading to their new families---Please donate if you can-- and please share this with all of your friends and animal lovers---- No amount is too small and  all donations go directly to the van-- We are a 501C3 so all donations are tax deductible and we will provide receipts.  Our great drivers are volunteering their time and the adopters will pay a transport fee to cover fuel costs--- Please please help us continue to help these very deserving rescued animals--whose happily ever after is just a road trip away---They are counting on all of us----Thank you in advance from the SOCO team --and all of the SOCO pups !
