Waste & Hope, is introducing the first fair trade plastic recycling lable!
We certify products made out of socially and environmentally sustainable recycled plastic.
We certify companies in Africa that recycle plastic socially and environmentally sustainable.
Our goals are to stop plastic entering the oceans and provide good jobs for collectors.
We have 10 years of experience!!
We know how is done and have the right partners to keep growing in Senegal.
Its important to us to work with the senegalese people creating jobs and safer environment for them and their families.
Proplast, Recuplast are our Senegalese partners!
We managed to establish a well functioning collecting network throughout Senegal.
What we do:
Since 2010 we have collected and recycled 4.500 tons of plastic!
We aim to collect about 500 tons per month.
Until now we only covered 1% of the plastic consumed in Senegal.
We want to expand our networks and plastic recycling systems in Senegal and throughout West Africa.
Who will benefit from your support?
Our plastic collectors: constant income, formalized employment, training programmes.
Our employees: training and growing opportunities, constant income.
The environment: (1) The oceans would be cleaner and less harmful to the wildlife, since less amount of plastic is entering the oceans (2) reduced CO2 emitions re-using plastic instead of producing more new plastic.

To finish the development of our Fair Trade Recycled Plastic Lable!

We cannot wait for Governments to have the capacity to provide waste management services in Africa.
