Affordable GED Tutoring

Soar with the Eagles Professional GED/HSE Tutors, Inc. (SWTE) began as a vision of helping struggling GED students access low cost tutoring to increase their chances of passing the new, more rigorous GED exam and proceed to college or better jobs. The success of these students benefits the entire community by raising the level of adult education throughout the Tucson metropolitan area, ultimately strengthening the economy as their ability to contribute to it grows.
SWTE was initially funded by a personal inheritance, 100% of which has gone to program costs - namely, tutor wages and study materials. This translates into $2,500/month. Without more funding, SWTE is unable to expand its student base and hire additional tutors.
In the fourteen months in which the program has operated, SWTE has helped twenty students pass the entire battery of four GED subject-specific tests, and several others have passed one or more and are well on their way to completing the remaining exams.
While other sources of funding are being explored and pursued by SWTE's Board of Directors, the program meanwhile relies on personal donations and seeks $10,000 to help it continue serving GED students over the next few months.
