Mom of 4 needs help after bad wreck.

On November 21st my children and I were involved in a terrible car accident. Another car was rear ended and sent over the median, resulting in t-boning the car. My 3 children (6, 3, 2) were in the wreck. I was also 29 weeks pregnant. My children by the grace of God received minor injuries, mostly seat belt cuts from their car seats. My 2 year old had a very bad cut on the left side of her neck from the straps, My 3 year old had a few cuts and my 6 year old stayed two days in the hospital due to suspected internal bleeding. I was taken to Duke’s trauma unit where I underwent emergency surgery the following morning. I have a crushed knee cap and ankle, both in my left leg. My entire body was covered in  cuts and numerous bruises. At the time of the wreck, I was 29 weeks pregnant. My son survived and was delivered November 25th by emergency cesarean due to lengthly heart decelerations. His collar bone broke during the accident, making his start of life further difficult.

As of December 11th, I have had 2 surgeries for my injuries. My son is in NICU at Duke and my older children are home with me. My injuries are so severe I am wheelchair bound for the next 8-12 months at best. In 3 months we will know if I’ll be able to walk again. Doctors are questioning my ability to ever walk again due to the severity of leg damage, including loss of feeling. I spent 16 days in the hospital. Due to this wreck I can’t work, leaving me unable to afford Christmas gifts for my children, replace my car, or cover other urgent expenses.

My goal is $5,000. Anything helps! Everything raised will go towards replacing my car, household bills, gas to visit my son at Duke, and Christmas gifts. My first goal is having enough for children’s gifts and gas expenses. My children have been through so much this year and this wreck has done a number on us all. Thank you in advance!
