Bring Back Banked Track Roller Derby to Long Beach

The story is pretty simple, I am raising money to help fund the warehouse needed to house our (existing) banked track.
My name is Mimi Masher and I want to bring back the amazing banked track roller derby bouts from Long Beach's past and provide a safe atmosphere to grow as a skater as well as provide other forms of skate training or support.

The Long Beach Banked Track has been in storage for almost 6 years. With the monies earned we will secure a beautiful, practically move in ready warehouse. As well as permitting and a few move in costs.
If all goes according to plan, we will be up and running shortly after permitting for after school programs, classes, practices, bouts, birthdays, weddings and more. Not just a banked track, this facility will offer flat track, roller rink and event space tailored to the roller sports industry.
We have a comprehensive business plan we would love to email to you. We are not asking for free money, only help getting this perfect space. There are so many ways to help. And, we are happy to work with each and everyone of you to get this done. You will not walk away unhappy. Skater Scouts Honor!!
This space will be open to all leagues, all abilities and all ages.
There are NOT a lot of buildings that fit into the Fire Departments requirements, the cities requirements which include parking and our requirements which also require parking, safe exit strategies and no beams in the middle of our sweet spot. The biggest problem, CANNABIS ZONING .. the buildings we require typically fall into cannabis zoning which drives up prices.
Some will say, wait 8 months to a year and the prices will come down. We don’t have that long to wait. The storage bills on the track have to go!!! Now is the time. It’s crazy but, so is roller derby!! I know we can do it.
If this spot does not work out, we are looking at other locations as they come up.
(30,000 sq ft is my preferred size but 28k would do.)
I have placed my offer on the Downtown Long Beach warehouse and it was too low. We are working on resubmitting a new offer. My door is ALWAYS 100% open. I’m not perfect and sometimes I am learning as I go but, I will always give you my all and try to learn from each experience.
NO MONIES WILL BE SPENT FROM THIS CAMPAIGN UNLESS IT’S ON A BUILDING IN LONG BEACH. SHOULD WE HAVE TO SIGN A LEASE ELSEWHERE YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR A REFUND.
