Smozanek Legacy

Wayne’s legacy goes farther back than most think. Wayne started drag racing in 1977, and later started driving the Tropical Thunder monster truck for the PENDA POINTS system from 89-93. Even though he enjoyed his time with the trucks, eventually, his calling turned him to drag racing once again, and that’s just the racing side of it.

Wayne met Wendy in the summer of 88’ and  went on to get married and have a son. Will, who is now 17. Wayne went into the hospital on December 17th, and tested positive for COVID-19, along with his wife and son. The doctor did some tests and they concluded that Wayne needed to be admitted into the hospital. On January 4th he was put on a ventilator to help his lungs function. But after 8 weeks of fighting for his life, Wayne was at peace on February 12th, leaving his family heartbroken. Trying to continue Wayne’s dream and legacy, the family is hoping to continue racing the Street Outlaws No Prep Kings, but with travel expenses they can’t do it on their own. The family is currently trying to keep food on the table, all while trying to pay for medical bills, funeral expenses, and anyone who has had severe covid knows that you aren’t the same after you get sick. It’s hard to make it up and down the stairs, let alone go to work. The Smozanek family is asking for help to continue Wayne’s drag racing dreams, so whether it’s one dollar, or one hundred, it would mean so much if you could donate to help pay for travel expenses, medical expenses, and funeral expenses.
